Introduction & Goals of Education
The Catholic Church has given paramount importance to education in the life of men and women and their progress in social life. Therefore, till today even non-Catholic parents wish to educate their children in catholic institutions.
The catholic education makes our young men more conscious of their own dignity and responsibility. It makes them ever active in social and economic life. It makes them to acquire the new means of social communication and opportunity to enjoy life by availing themselves of their bright culture.
Keeping this in mind, St. Joseph's Primary School was opened in 1946 by Msgr. Marcus Gonsalves. After many years it took the shape of St. Joseph A.M. High School. Since St. Joseph's College has come up, youth are saving their time and relaxing from tiresome journeys to other cities for higher education.
